Erica and Dana are collecting canned food to donate to a local charity. This morning, Dana had twice as many cans as Erica. Then Dana collected 8 more cans. If Dana has 42 cans of food. How many cans of food does Erica have? (Let e represent the number of cans of food Erica has).
