slope m = -
(1)/(3)

to calculate m use the gradient formula

m = (y₂ - y₁ ) / (x₂ - x₁ )

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (- 7, - 3 ) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (8, - 8 ) ← 2 points on the line

m =
(-8+3)/(8+7) =
(-5)/(15) = -
(1)/(3)

slope = -1/3

(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
