- × 9x = -9x
- × +8 = -8

-9x - 2x = -11x
-8 - -10 = +2

answer = -11x +2

Answer: C) -11x+2

Explanation:

1) First you have to distribute the negative sign to the numbers in the parentheses...so it would be then become (-9x-8) + (-2x+5)

2) Now you add like terms, so the x's with the x's and the constants with the constants... -9x-2x is -11x and -8+10 is 2

3) So your final answer is -11x+2
