We know that

when curve touches x-axis , then there would be same zeros twice

so, multiplicity of root is 2

And when curve crosses x-axis , it means that there will be one zero

so, multiplicity of that zero must be 1

So, we can fill the space

If a graph of a polynomial touches the x axis, the multiplicity of this root/zero/solution/intercept is 2

If a graph of a polynomial goes through the x axis, the multiplicity of this root/zero/solution/intercept is 1

So, option-A........Answer
