Fourteen less than 5 times a number is 1. Identify the integer.
5x-14=1
5x=14+1
x=15/5
x=3
TO CHECK THE ANSWER INPUT THE VALUE IN THE PLACE OF X
5(3)-14=1
15-14=1
1=1. (BOTH SIDES EQUAL) ✔️

The sum of two consecutive integers is 139. Find the integers
(x) +(x+1)=139
x+x+1=139
2x=139-1
x=138/2
x=69
CHECK
69+69+1=139
138+1=139
139=139
(both sides equal) ✔️
