PLZ HELP

president trump has asked congress to approve $25 billion in spending for the 1000 miles of new fencing border patrol says is necessary to secure borders.consider the amount the government spends on a bridge or road built in your state.(for example, the cost to rebuild the Tappan Zee Bridge in New York was approximately $4 billion .)Democrats generally oppose constructing a wall on our southern boarder and therefore vote against this spending. Do you think the republicans in congress should vote to approve the spending?explain your answer

No, because you would have to make major cuts in all agencies which makes us vunerable as a country. Some of our departments already are way underfunded. Why would anyone want to go into an essentially broke country with major money problems if we build the wall. Plus border patrol would need more officers keeping a watchful eye over the wall, but in very hot conditions in the southwest it would be horrible to work under. The Mexicans will be infuriated with the U.S, and will stop most trade agreements with the U.S if possible. Plus it would take awhile to even built the wall, about two decades will be how long it would take in the best case scenario. Furthermore think about the costs it would take mantaining the wall for the years after it was built. Finally on America's principals which says we aren't discriminative and welcomes all human beings, what type of message do you think you'd send if you would do this?
