n - the first number

n + 11 - the second number

2n + 6 - the third number

81 - the sum of three numbers

The equation:

n + (n + 11) + (2n + 6) = 81

n + n + 11 + 2n + 6 = 81 combine like terms

(n + n + 2n) + (11 + 6) = 81

4n + 17 = 81 subtract 17 from both sides

4n = 64 divide both sides by 4

n = 16

the largest of the tree numbers is the third number 2n + 6.

Substitute the value of n:

2(16) + 6 = 32 + 6 = 38

Answer: 38
