Number of adult dogs a kennel has = 8 dogs.

Number of puppies = 14 puppies.

We need to find the ratio of adult dogs to puppies = Number of adult dogs: Number of puppies.

= 8:14.

Now, we need to write 8:14 in fraction form
(8)/(14) .

Greatest common factor of 8 and 14 is 2.

(8)/(14) = (2* 4)/(2 * 7)
=(4)/(7).

Therefore, ratio of adult dogs to puppies is 4:7.
