P=2L + 2W
88=2(3w) + 2w
88=6w +2w
88=8w
88/8=8w/8
11=w
If the perimeter is 88 and the width is 11 and the length is 3 times the width then the length is 33 and you plug those numbers into the original formula you get the starting perimeter of 88
P=2L + 2W
P=2(33) + 2(11)
P=66+22
P=88
