European contries wanted to claim more land, so they continued to travel more and more throughout history. They discorvered new lands, and at some places, tried to eliminate it's natives.

The Age of Exploration, also known as the Age of Discovery is the term usually referred to these explorations which took place between the 1500´s and the 1800´s, responding to colonialism and mercantilism, which gave rise to an increase in the global trade.
