The formula of the distance between two points:

d=√((x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2)

We have the points (-1, -10) and (-12, -3). Substitute:

d=√((-12-(-1))^2+(-3-(-10))^2)=√((-11)^2+7^2)=√(121+49)=√(170)

√(170)\approx13.04

Answer: d ≈ 13.0
