Explanation:

The expressions are given in factor form.

Whenever any one factor is 0, expression is 0

Since x=5 we have x-5 =0

So wherever x-5 is a factor, the expressions has to be 0

Out of 4 expressions given we have

Option D is only having x-5 as factor

Hence option D expression


(x − 8)(x − 5)=0

when x=5

Other expressions cannot be exactly 0 since x-5 is not a factor for any other of them

So only option D is right.
