Here is one method.

For each equation, first, let x = 0 and solve for y. that gives you one ordered pair. Plot that point. Then let y = = and solve for x. That gives you another ordered pair. Plot that point. Then draw a line that goes through those two points. Once you do this for both equations, if the lines intersect, the point of intersection is the solution.
