Answer:

Explanation:

We have to construct a frequency distribution table using 7 classes.

1. Find the difference between the maximum wind speed and the minimum wind speed first.

93 - 48 = 45

2. Divide this difference by number of class.

(45)/(7) = 6.42

3. Round up this number.

6.42 ≈ 7

4. Add this number to the lowest number in the given table.

48 + 7 = 55

5. By repeating this step we can get 7 classes.

48

48 + 7 = 55

55 + 7 = 62

62 + 7 = 69

69 + 7 = 76

76 + 7 = 83

83 + 7 = 90

These are the lower limits of the interval.

6. Now we will write down the upper limits of the intervals.

48 + ( 7 - 1) = 54

48 - 54

Similarly we can write all other intervals.

55 - 61

62 - 66

67 - 73

74 - 80

81 - 87

88 - 94

7. Now we can easily form the frequency table.

Wind speed Number of states

48 - 54 3

55 - 61 4

62 - 66 5

67 - 73 12

74 - 80 12

81 - 87 3

88 - 94 1
