Answer:

2. x > 17

3. x ≤ 7

4. a < 4

5. t ≥ -2

Explanation:

2). x - 7 > 10

Now we add 7 on both the side of the inequality [Both the side of sign (>) greater than].

x - 7 + 7 > 10 + 7

x > 17

Answer is x > 17

3). 3x ≤ 21

Now we divide by 3 on both the sides of the inequality.

(3x)/(3)
(21)/(3)

x ≤ 7

Answer is x ≤ 7

4) 5a - 2 < 18

(5a -2) + 2 < 18 + 2

5a < 20

(5a)/(5)<(20)/(5)

a < 4

Answer is a < 4

5). 2t + 8 ≥ -4(t + 1)

2t + 8 ≥ -4t - 4

2t + 8 - 8 ≥ -4t - 4 - 8

2t ≥ -4t - 12

2t + 4t ≥ -4t + 4t - 12

6t ≥ -12

t ≥ -
(12)/(6)

t ≥ -2

Answer is t ≥ -2
