$650. Because, you have the equation x-0.15x=552.50, where x represents the original price, and -0.15x represents the discount of the original price. Subtract like terms on the left hand side of the equation, 1x-0.15x=O.85x. So 0.85x=552.50, now divide 552.50 by 0.85 and get x by itself, x=650.
