Using similar triangles

= Let the height of the flagpole be represented as h.

h/35 =5/12

We cross Multiply

35 x 5 = 12h

12h = 175

h = 175/12

h = 14.583333333 feet

Approximately to the nearest foot is

h = 15 feet
