true a horse is a heterotroph because
Heterotrophs are organisms that are not capable of synthesizing their own food. An autotroph on the other hand, is able to synthesize its own food starting with simple molecules and energy. A horse has to consume food present in the outside world and does not have a mechanism for producing nutrient molecules and energy inherently. So a horse is a heterotroph.

It is true, here is evidence to this question "People are heterotrophs: we eat plants or meat to stay alive. You might say, well, isn't everything a heterotroph? A lot of creatures are, including giraffes, dogs, fish, horses " I hope this helps you with what your doing.
