From 1776 to the nineteenth century, a document was "modeled", which would be the "Declaration of Women's Independence," and was read at the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia in 1876.

Where a list of political, economic and social complaints was included. Alleging women that they lacked the right to own property, they often earned less money than men (and often had no control over their salaries), and had limited educational opportunities.

The "Declaration" blame men for the position of women in society, Although the "Women's Declaration of Independence" did not achieve the equal rights status that reformers desired, it did help encourage the era of reform and women's rights.
