Not sure about the weird echo in the question but I think we're being ask to evaluate

4 - 0.25g + 0.5h

when g=10, h=5

That's

4 - 0.25(10) + 0.5(5) = 4 - 2.5 + 2.5 = 4

Answer: 4

For this case we have the following expression:

4-0.25g + 0.5h

We must evaluate the expression for the following values:

g = 10\\h = 5

Evaluating the expression we have:

4-0.25 (10) +0.5 (5)

Rewriting we have:

4-2.5 + 2.5 = 4

Answer:

Evaluating the expression we have that the result is equal to 4.
