your answer would be 5 squared 2 and the reason for that is if you're looking for the simplest radical form you do 50 divided by 2 which is 25 and you do 25 / 5 because that's the next available divisor and then you would put the five on the outside of the of the square root symbol and then you would put the two on the inside.

50 = x^2

To isolate x you need to do the opposite of an exponent, which would be square root.


√(50) = x </p><p>Next solve what the square root of 50 is</p><p>[tex]5√(2) = x

That is the exact form, in other words your answer, if teacher is looking for a decimal, it would be

7.07 = x
