"In 4b, 4 is a coefficient" is correct. A coefficient is a number multiplied by a variable.


"8 and 1 are like terms" is correct. Like terms can be combined. 8 + 1 can be combined as 9.

The first one is true and the fourth one is true because the definition of a coefficient is for there to be a variable next the the number to turn it into an unknown number, and the fourth one is true because you can add 8 and 1 together to get 9, making it a like term.
