Many people debate whether advertising is a good thing for society, but what people don't know is that it can be both a positive and negative thing for society. On one hand, advertising can be good for society because is there is something that a person is looking for and there happens to be a salesperson selling a product that the person is looking for, the salesman can make an advertisement which can help the person looking for the product informed about the product and can benefit the person in need of the resource. Another reason advertisement can be positive for society, is that it allows the economy to grow. For example, if a person is looking for a product, an advertisement will help them buy it which will lead the salesperson to gain money from the purchase and will help the economy in the process of doing so. On the other hand, advertisement can also be bad for society. Advertisement can be bad because it can interrupt what you are doing and irritate the person watching the advertisement. For example, if a person were to be watching a video or a television show and an advertisement were to interrupt the show or video, the person would get irritated because they want to continue watching whatever they were watching. This happens quite a lot which can cause advertisements to get a bad reputation, no matter what type of advertisement it is. This shows that advertisement can be good and bad to society, it just depends on how you look at it.
