Answer:

Confirmation bias

Step-by-step explanation:

Confirmation Bias is nothing more than the tendency of some people to pay more attention to what they believe, which reaffirm their beliefs and opinions. Ignoring and devaluing any contrary opinion, even if it comes with a larger basis and with references or even data.

An example of this can be seen in the question above, where Penelope loves playing video games so much that she ignores all the negative points of this habit, because she just wants to believe the positives.

When Penelope dismisses all of the points on the con side as invalid, without really taking the time to read and consider them, her critical thinking is affected by her close mindedness and her over-reliance on emotions.

Penelope's close mindedness occurs because she is incapable of being receptive to the ideas that the con side of the list is describing, just because her own thoughts do not agree with these ones.

She is also over-relying on her own feelings and emotions. Penelope has always loved to play video games, so when she looks at the con side of the list, she blocks them because she is following her positive feelings toward video games, rather than consider the points the list is making.
