Plug in -5 into x. F(x)= 3(-5) -7 g(x)= (-5)^2 -4
Then plug it into the equation 3(-5)-7-(-5)^2-4 then multiply the -5 into 3 and you should have gotten -15, then multiply -5 *-5= -25 and add or subtract from there and you should get the answer of -1

Answer: B) -43

Explanation:

f(x) = 3x - 7 f(5) = 3(-5) - 7 ⇒ f(5) = -15 - 7 = -22

g(x) = x² - 4 g(5) = (-5)² - 4 ⇒ g(5) = 25 - 4 = 21

(f - g)(-5) = -22 - 21

= -43
