In nuclear fusion what occurs????

Nuclear fusion is the process when a star at high temperatures and high pressure combines 4 Hydrogen atoms into 1 heavier Helium atom. The leftover turns into energy which is emitted as light. Younger stars have more hydrogen than older stars.
