Hi! The formula for the axis of symmetry, or x = num, the folding point - is:

(-b)/(2a)

This equation is in standard form,

ax^2 + bx + c\\

where a = 2

and b = 3

Plug these numbers into the equation:

(-3)/(2(2)) = -(3)/(4) = -.75

The axis of symmetry is:

x = -.75

-3/4

To find this, use the equation -b/2a.

In this equation, a is 2, b is 3, and c (although not used) is 1.

Thus, inputting this in the equation will give you the above answer.

Hope this helps!
