The Petrarchan sonnet or Italian Sonnet, called this way in honored to the poet Petrarch is compose by 14 lines divide in two stanzas one of 8 lines rhyming ABBAABBA that is called an Octave and other of six lines called a sestet and rhyming CDCDCD or CDEEDE.
