Radio Free Europe, also known as Radio Liberty, was a communications media developed to counter the propaganda or the information that was controlled by the government in european countries during the Cold War. This was made because the communists regimes had full control of the information that people had access to and this radio found the way around government censorship. It was founded in 1949 and funded by the United States government.
