List some of the flaws or defects of the electoral college and examples of how these flaws have influenced elections in the U.S. What is your opinion of the electoral college? Do the benefits outweigh the flaws? Do you think this system should remain or do you think the system should be reformed? What reforms would you suggest? Provide examples to support your opinion.

One flaw is the fact that people's opinions can be misrepresented. For example, in the 2016 election Donald Trump was able to beat Hillary Clinton only due to the electoral college. Clinton destroyed him in the popular vote but Trump was able to clutch the W bc of the college. The system that we have has been used for a long time, changes are however needed. More frequent reelections of the delegates is a possibility to fix this system as it will be a more accurate representation of the people's current opinions/political stance.
