Alliteration - Contains the same letter or sound at the beginning of each word.

Example: Big brown bear bought books.

Metaphor - Similarities between objects WITHOUT using like or as.

Example: You are my sunshine.

Simile - A comparison between two things using like or as.

Example: He is as lazy as a cat.

Personification - Giving objects human characteristics.

Example: The flowers danced in the wind.

Onomatopoeia - Words that sound like you say them.

Example: The thunder went BOOM.

Hope this Helps!!
