2. The conquistadors were very successful in Central America because they had superior weapons, and also were wisely making alliances with some of the local people. The conquistadors brought multiple things with them in the New World, including advanced technology and weapons, culture, religion, and also diseases.

3. The region through which Cortes traveled and conquered is the Caribbean region, and also the northern part of Central America and southernmost part of North America, a region known also as Mezoamerica.

4. Most of the Central American countries speak Spanish because they were ruled for few centuries by Spain, and the Spanish language was the official one in their colonies, so everyone had to learn it and speak it
