A cell is highly efficient in fulfilling an extensive variety of tasks all by itself. Numerous processes, like transport, protein formation, cellular respiration, etc. take place inside the cell. These different functions are essential for an organism to be able to survive, and these can be accomplished by the cell due to the specialized functions and role of the organelles. The cell organelles execute their functions in order to help with the survival of the cell. The ribosomes help in protein formation, the mitochondria generates ATP and the phagocytes carry out phagocytosis. These specialized functions are very helpful so that a cell could perform a lot of functions.
