I found the "Global Estimates of Child Labor: Results and Trends, 2012-2016" conducted by the International Labor Organization which is the highest authority on labor issues and in this study it is estimated that there are currently 218 million children between 5 and 17 years are in employment. Among these, 152 million are victims of child labor. Additionally, I found that 57.8% of working children are men and 42.2% are women. Although obtaining an exact number of children involved in child labor is very complicated, the most appropriate response would be 171 million children making an estimate for the year 2018 .
