When concentration of solute particles increases, there is relative lowering in the vapor pressure of the solution because less number of solvent particles will be available o the top of solution.

Equation for the relative lowering of vapor pressure:


(p^o-p_s)/(p^o)=(n_2)/(n_1+n_2)

where,


p^o = vapor pressure of pure solvent


p_s vapor pressure of the solution
