Hunter spent 2/3 of his money on a video game before spending half of his remaining money on lunch if it's going to cost $10 how much money did he have at first

Explanation:

Remaining money after buying the video game = 10 * 2 = $20

This represented 1 - 2/3 = 1/3 of the money he had in the first place

So the answer is 20 / 1/3 = 20*3 = $60 answer.

since he spent 2/3 already, and has 1/3 left, and then he spent HALF of that too, he basically spent 1/6 of his original amount on lunch which was $10. So if you multiply 10 by 6 to find his original amount, you get 60, which is you answer. Hunter originally had $60.
