Pie charts are very different from other types of charts/graphs. They do not use axes to plot points. There are two ways pie charts can be misrepresented and it is important to be aware of this ;
1. Leaving out one or more of the parts of the whole.
2. Not defining what the whole stands for.
If a small part of the whole is left out, it will increase the percent values of the other parts displayed. If we do not define a whole, then we have no idea what these parts represent.
