Explanation:

The number of striped socks is 2 while the number of total socks are 6. If he chooses a striped socks at first, that will be 2/6.

If he chooses it the second time, the probability will be 1/5 since there'll be 5 socks left and 1 striped.

The probability that Derek selected a striped sock both times will be:

= 2/6 Ă— 1/5.

= 2/30

= 1/15
