Carson is on the swim team at his high school. He regularly dives to the bottom of the 13-foot swimming pool where he practices. While on summer vacation, Carson decides to go scuba diving off the coast of Mexico. After a few minutes descending into the deep water, his ears begin to ache. Carson wonders what is causing this pain since he never has any problems at swim practice. Why did Carson suddenly have ear pain?

This can be because he is used to diving at the same depth, so since he is diving at a deeper depth, I assume, it will make his ears hurt because he is not used to the pressure of deeper depths. :)

Answer:

because of increase pressure

Step-by-step explanation:

Scuba divers dives deep into the sea water. And ear pain is the most common problem for all the scuba divers. As a scuba divers goes deep into the water, there is an increase of pressure inside the water due to the increase in depth of the liquid column. The increased pressure presses the body of the diver. Now as the divers dives deep the ear squeezes. The outside pressure of the water is more than the pressure inside the ear, so the outer pressure squeeze and presses in the inside pressure of the ear resulting in ear pain.

Thus Carson suddenly had ear pain when he dived deep into the sea water.
