What kinds of illnesses do antibiotics NOT cure?

Strep throat, urinary infections, colds, the flu, or mono (mononucleosis). You might think well my doctor gives me medicine, but the is to prevent infection. Antibiotics can only meant to be cured by (some) fungus and parasites.

Some of the illnesses that can usually be treated with antibiotics include strep infections, urinary tract infections, some forms of sinus infections, and some skin infections. Streptococcal infections are a common type of bacteria-caused illness that is usually treated with antibiotic therapy.
