Du Bois thought the African American deserved all the rights at the same time and urged African Americans to actively fight discrimination rather than to patiently submit to it. He demanded equal opportunity and the end to racial segregation. He felt African American should fight for more than just working in the trades and urge equal educational opportunities for African Americans
