Answer:

Weight of person on earth =100 pounds

Weight of person on Mars= 38 lb

Weight of person on earth = m × Weight of person on Mars

Where, 0<m<1. m=Constant of proportionality

Weight of person is on earth is independent variable and weight of person on mars is dependent variable.

→Weight on earth = Mass × Gravitational constant(g=9.8 m/s² on earth)

We can calculate weight on earth and then by applying some physical formulas of universe we can calculate weight of anything on any other planet.

So, By this way we can say that Weight on earth is an independent variable and weight on mars is dependent variable.
