The greenhouse effect is caused by the emission of polluting gases in the environment. The increase in temperature, as a consequence of the emission of these gases into the environment, causes consequences for the climate, vegetation, and fauna. The main consequences of the greenhouse effect:
- increasing the temperature of the planet; melting of glaciers; increasing the volume of water in the oceans and provoking flood in some coastal regions.
- The disappearance of some animal species
- environmental phenomena such as typhoons, hurricanes, storms, droughts; fires in green areas
- changes agricultural production, reducing world food production
