Eukaryotic cells have the following characteristics;

1.Nucleus is present

2.They have more than one chromosome

3.Cell type is multicellular

4.Have a true membrane bond nucleus

5.Examples are cells in Animals and plants

6.Cells have mitochondria

7.Cells have cytoskeleton

8.The cell DNA is wrapped on histones

9.Cells have larger ribosomes

Characteristics of Prokaryotic cells are;

1.They have no nucleus

2.They have plasmids instead of chromosomes

3.They are unicellular

4.They have no true membrane bond nucleus

5.Examples are cells of Bacteria and Archaea

6.They have no mitochondria

7.They have smaller ribosomes

8.Multiple proteins act together to fold and condense prokaryotic DNA
