A copy center offers its customers to different pricing plans for black and white photo copies of 8.5 in. by 11 in. Pages customers can either pay $0.08 per page or pay $7.50 for a discount card that lowers the cost two$0.05 per page right and solve an equation to find the number of photocopies for which the cost of each plan is the same.

0.08x = 0.05x + 7.5 Subtract 0.05x from both sides

-0.05x -0.05x

0.03x = 7.5 divide both sides by 0.03

x = 250

at 250 copies its the same price

(note: after 250 the second is cheaper and before 250 the first option is cheaper)
