Explanation :

(a) The distance between two consecutive crests or troughs is called wavelength of a wave. It is denoted by
\lambda

The number of vibrations produced per second is called its frequency. It is denoted by
\\u.

We know that the distance covered per unit time is called the speed of the wave i.e.

s=(d)/(t)

The distance covered by the wave is
\lambda. So,

s=(\lambda)/(T)

We know that T is the time period of the wave and the relation between the frequency and the time period is
\\u=(1)/(T)

So,
speed=wavelength* frequency

So, the correct option is (b).

(b) Human ear consists of the outer ear, middle ear, and inner ear.

Middle ear amplifies the vibrations from the sound waves. It consists of three bones namely hammer, anvil and stirrup. The amplification of sound waves takes place many times by these bones.

So, the correct option is (c).
