2x + 5

Twice a number (2x) increased (+) by seven (7)

7x + 2

Two more (+2) than the product of a number and 7 (7x)

2x - 5

The difference (-) of two times of number (2x) and five (5)

2x + 7

Twice a number (2x) increased by seven (+7)

2x + 5: five more than two times a number

7x + 2: two more than the product of a number and 7

2x - 5: the difference of two times a number and 5

2x + 7: twice a number increased by 7
