Speed at which he is travelling = 52 miles per hour

Let the time taken by him be x

Since we have the equation


d=1.4-52t

where d denotes distance

and t denotes time.

If we have given that the car 0.6 miles from the check point.

So, we put the value of d in place of it .


0.6=1.4-52t\\\\0.6-1.4=-52t\\\\-0.8=-52t\\\\0.8=52t\\\\(0.8)/(52)=t\\\\0.015=t

So, at t=0.015 hours when the car 0.6 miles from the check point.
