so, for this question you need to create a table for containers of yoghurt and their cost. what we know is that 12 containers costs 8. so in order to make our table easier you may want to divide 12 by 8 to get what is called the unit rate. this shows the cost of one container. the unit rate is 1.5 dollars per one container. now an equation for this can be 1.5x. now simply plug in the letter x for your container number and multiply. so, multiply 18 to 1.5 which gets you 27 dollars.
furthermore, to make the table, on the first column just go up by one container and plug in the container number into x for the equation 1.5x.
an example would be
1 1.5
2 3
so every time you add one to the container number, you add 1.5 to the cost!
