1. How did religion influence the Magna Carta?

The Manga Carta required the king to respect the rights of the church. For example there right to own property, to run its estates and to gain wealth. So this document assured the churches right to run its affairs without the interference of royal rule. Previous to this charter the king was thought to have absolute power due to his “divine right”.
